Use BEST CASE SCENARIO to help PwC teams dream big, nurture creative collaboration, and foster a fearless approach to new challenges.

Instructions

1. Set the Scene

  • Start with a best‑case scenario (e.g., “I’m giving a speech to a huge crowd!”).
  • Keep it broad and exciting to spark everyone’s imagination.

2. Build with “Yes, and...”

  • The next person adds a positive twist, beginning with “Yes, and...” (e.g., “Yes, and they give me a standing ovation!”).
  • Each new statement expands the scenario, compounding the sense of success.

3. Embrace Absurdity

  • Let the scenario escalate playfully, celebrating each over-the-top idea.
  • Model a “no‑wrong‑ideas” mentality to encourage risk‑free creativity.

4. Reach a High Point

  • Continue until the group feels it has achieved a creative crescendo.
  • The goal is to nurture an optimistic, energizing vision—no strict end point required.

Time Frame

  • Short Burst (5–10 Minutes): A quick imagination exercise or meeting warm-up.
  • Extended (15–20 Minutes): More in-depth story-building for team-building sessions.

Debrief

  • How did the “Yes, and...” exercise help you think more creatively and collaboratively, and how can this mindset apply to your work at PwC?
  • In what ways did embracing absurd or over-the-top ideas during the game help shift your perspective on solving challenges or setting ambitious goals?
