Headlines

Outcomes

  • Encourage Quick Reflection: Summarize the day’s or meeting’s highlights in a concise, headline-style statement.
  • Boost Creativity & Engagement: Crafting playful, attention‑grabbing “titles” helps participants solidify key takeaways.
  • Foster Connections: Using this game at the start of a meeting helps participants learn something new about each other, offering valuable insight into their perspectives and current mindset.
  • Alignment & Action: Use shared reflections to highlight next steps, align on decisions, or inform future planning.

When to Use

  • Meeting Wrap-Up: Recap key decisions or themes, ensuring alignment before adjourning.
  • Daily/Weekly Reflection: End the day with a quick personal summary—keeps big-picture goals in focus.
  • Icebreaker/Check-In: Kick off a meeting by asking for a headline describing each person’s day or weekend.

Use HEADLINES whenever you need a quick, engaging way to gather reflections at PwC—whether closing out a meeting, recapping a week, or jumpstarting creativity at the start of a session.

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Reflect on the Topic

    • Decide what you’re summarizing (a day, meeting, project session, weekend, etc.).

    • Think about the standout highlights, themes, or lessons learned.

  2. Create a Headline

    • Formulate a short, catchy “newspaper title” that captures the essence of your reflection.

    • Encourage participants to be as imaginative (or direct) as they want.

  3. Share Your Headline

    • Give each person the floor to present their headline.

    • Offer a brief explanation if desired—why this headline, and what it represents.

Things to note:

  • Versatile Setup: Works well in any group size, from pairs to larger teams.

  • Everyone Gets a Turn: Ensures multiple viewpoints are heard and fosters inclusivity.

Time Frame

Quick Check-In (5–10 minutes): Ideal for short daily or meeting wrap-ups.

In-Depth Reflection (15–20 minutes): Allows more robust sharing and discussion.
